A Casa da Eira is an ancient farm house which has been completely restored, situated in Galicia in the midst of the historic area of " The Ribeira Sacra" with its spectacular River Sil Canyon and a considerable number of Romanesque monasteries

Rooms

A Casa da Eira offers four double rooms and one single room, one of which has full wheelchair access and all with private bathrooms, (additional beds are available), a comfortable living room and dining room with open fire, a fully equipped kitchen, reading room, garden and a traditional Galician balcony from which one can enjoy a spectacular view of the River Sil Canyon. Moreover we have a workshop where we organize craft activities for small groups. A vegetable garden is also at our guests' disposal to enable all to enjoy their dishes prepared directly from the garden to the plate

A wide variety of activities can be enjoyed. We organize the following workshops upon request with English speaking tutors: basketmaking, woolspinning with hand spindles, natural dyeing (our garden includes a small botanic garden of dye plants), organic agriculture, gastronomy of wild plants; picking, drying and storing of plants for medical and domestic uses, homemade marmelade (seasonally).

In the surrounding countryside exist the opportunities to practice numerous outdoor activities (with or without guide): walking, climbing, gorge descent. And the nearby reservoir of San Esteban is an ideal place for fishing, swimming, canoeing or river trips (capacity: 70 people) which takes you through the Canyon of the river Sil and to the vineyards of the famous Amandi wine. An ample network of walking routes invites you to discover the Flora and Fauna of the "Ribeira Sacra" by foot or by bicycle
